What we'll do
When children help prepare food and then share a picnic, it becomes a powerful learning and social experience that supports many areas of development. ? 1. Learning life skills Teaches children basic cooking and food preparation skills Helps them understand where food comes from Builds early knowledge of healthy eating choices ? 2. Practical and motor skills Improves hand–eye coordination (cutting soft foods, spreading, assembling) Develops fine motor skills through mixing and handling food Encourages safe use of simple kitchen tools ? 3. Social development Encourages teamwork when preparing and sharing tasks Builds communication skills (“Can you pass that?”, “Let’s share this”) Helps children learn cooperation and patience ? 4. Emotional wellbeing Creates a fun, relaxed, and positive experience Builds confidence and independence in preparing food Strengthens friendship and bonding during shared meals ? 5.
