A summary
Welcome to Brighton Sports Club, where every school holiday turns into a fun-filled adventure! Our club offers a wide range of exciting activities designed to engage and inspire children with SEN. From dynamic sports like basketball and soccer to painting and messy play, our program ensures every child has a blast while making new friends. At Brighton Sports Club, we believe in the power of play to foster growth, build confidence, and create lasting memories. Our schedule runs from 10am to 3pm daily. Monday kicks off with team-building games and some basketball. Tuesday features soccer and creative arts. Wednesday is volleyball and sensory play. Thursday includes tennis and music time. Friday wraps up with gymnastics and a talent show. Alongside the main sports activity, there will be an additional activity which children can participate in if they prefer - some examples of activities which will be available throughout the week are: stacking cups, hoola hoops, bean bag toss and yoga and stretching. Each day includes designated quiet time from 12:30pm to 1pm for relaxation and emotional regulation, but within our space we have 2 sensory rooms which can be accessed by the young people at any time they choose, for some time away from the main group activity. Within the sensory rooms, we have beanbags and weighted blankets, dimmed lights and ear defenders.

My personal mission is to improve social mobility by making all the wonderful opportunities in every community visible and accessible.
Accessibility and Inclusivity
Brighton Sports Club is dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children. We offer tailored support and adaptive equipment to meet the diverse needs of our participants. Our staff is trained in SEN care, ensuring that each child feels valued, understood, and supported. We work closely with parents and caregivers to create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. All of our staff have an up to date paediatric first aid certificate, and have completed autism awareness and positive behavioural support training. Staff are confident using ACD (Augmented Communication Devices) and PECs. We run our sessions from Brighton Primary School. Activities will be held in the main school hall, but if weather permits, we'll spend some time in the secure playground and sports field. During the day, the sites main gates will be locked and there are no other providers operating on the site, meaning its a safe space for children who are a flight risk. The site is wheelchair accessible. If you would like us to share our social stories and visual aids so your child can become familiar with our setting and core staff before their session, just ask!
