About your mentors
Greenwood Growth CIC
Immerse, discover, connect in nature.
We work in community woodland offering compassionate support to people focused on connection to self, others and a belonging to the natural world. Over half the population lives within six miles of a forest or small woodland and we think most people don’t visit them at all, or just pass through. Greenwood Growth makes your local space fun, safe and inviting places to spend time. We want to get you amongst the trees to begin exploring and to feel the positive effect on health and well-being for yourself.
Ros
Forest school practitioner
I've been working with Greenwood for the past few years in various forest settings, gaining my qualifications, and leading groups of young people to get the most out of the great outdoors!

What to expect
This group is for young people who are ready to play, explore and learn in and from their natural world. Some weeks we will be working on simple conservation tasks, set for us by the Rangers and other weeks we will be playing games, exercising and moving in the forest or developing our technical skills, e.g. working with tools, cord and natural resources. Adults who wish to support their children are welcome to join this session, participating alongside the group.
