A summary
We are an open access adventure playground and city farm. We have many play activities, we have multiple swings, multiple climbing structures, we have 2 adventure woods, we have a farm with lots of small and large animals, we have 2 small sports areas. Our staff will engage and play sports games, we let the children lead all of our activities, we have lots of different sports equipment/arts and crafts/ ready as our off the shelf activities when enough children want to participate. Our neighbouring community gym provides an hour per day of sports and fitness.
Your booking is for lunch provision which is served between 12:30 - 1. Please be aware that although the site is staffed we cannot prevent children from leaving the site. This is why children under 8 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. As we are at our busiest during the school holidays, staff are on site to ensure general health and safety and provide first aid when required.

Blacon Adventure Playground is a well-loved, free playground and city farm for the kids of Blacon and beyond. Known locally as The Venny and operating for over 40 years, it is owned and managed by Avenue Services, a social enterprise based in Blacon. With its array of farmyard animals, exciting play structures and wild woodland, it’s Blacon’s most popular facility for young people with hundreds of visitors every year.
