What we'll do

At the BIGKID Foundation Summer Youth Club, every day is an opportunity for fun, growth, and connection. We’ve put together a programme of inclusive activities designed to engage young people of all interests and abilities. Whether you're looking to get active, express your creativity, try something new, or simply make new friends, there's something here for you. Sports lovers can enjoy a wide range of physical activities, like football, basketball, and flag football taking place on our on-site basketball court and surrounding outdoor spaces. These sessions focus on skill development, teamwork, and having fun—no matter your experience level. For those who prefer to take on challenges off the field, we’ll be running indoor activities in a supportive environment. Our site includes an adventure playground that’s perfect for letting off steam, climbing, exploring, and building confidence through active play. We also have a comfortable indoor space where participants can take part in quieter activities, hang out with friends, or simply recharge. Our trained youth workers and volunteers are there every step of the way to provide support, encouragement, and to make sure every young person feels safe and welcome.

To end youth violence and social exclusion

BIGKID Foundation is a multi-award-winning youth and community charity established in 2008. Our mission is to end youth violence. We equip young people to take control of their lives, find, develop, and act on their own potential.

Eligibility Criteria

Lambeth HAF-funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals and attend a school in Lambeth. (Please note, this is different to universal free school meals that are available to all school-aged children) Each child can book up to 16 sessions this summer with any provider.

Learning aims

Aim 1

Improve teamwork and communication skills through group sports, games, and collaborative activities.

Aim 2

Understand the value of respect, inclusion, and cooperation, gaining a deeper appreciation for diverse perspectives and working together.

Aim 3

Learn the importance of physical health and wellbeing, with regular opportunities for exercise and active play in a safe, supportive environment.
