A summary
Our Playscheme encourages children to eat healthier, be more active, socialise and take part in physical and creative activities. A nutritious hot lunch, cooked fresh on site, will be provided each day. Activities include arts and crafts, a range of sports, board games, football table, Lego, indoor and outdoor games. We also enjoy taking the children on a variety of trips, which have included local parks, adventure playgrounds, Young V&A museum, Kidzmania soft play, Little Angel theatre and Lea Valley skating rink. Full details will be confirmed and permission slips will be sent out in advance. Our Playscheme is run by Benthal’s experienced playworkers, nursery nurses, and learning support assistants for children requiring 1-2-1 support.

Welcome to Benthal! We are a two form entry primary school, including nursery provision, located in the culturally diverse community of Stoke Newington. Benthal aims to provide an outstanding education for all our pupils in a stimulating and creative environment. The children are at the heart of everything we do at Benthal. They are happy, creative and achieve academically. Each child is encouraged to learn to the best of their abilities whilst having fun along the way, creating ‘irresistible learning’ is our education mantra. The children develop confidence through music, singing, drama and art, enjoying sport and the team spirit it brings, understanding nature by exploring our wildlife area and learning skills to become positive future 21st Century citizens.
