A summary
We have an exciting opportunity for children from across North Lincolnshire to come and experience being a film extra for a day. 2021 Visual Arts Centre, North Lincolnshire Libraries and Ten Foot Dance Studio are creating a short film called Our Freedom: Then & Now. This short film celebrates the end of World War 2 & VE/VJ Day. The film will be part of a bigger local and national exhibition starting in November 2025. We are looking for 25 children to play the roles of World War 2 evacuee children. You do not need any acting experience to take part in this role, as all the training will be given. The role will include walking and movement. We will also supply you with a costume to wear during the filming. (Please ensure you have told us what clothing size your child wears) Important Notice: To take part in this Fuelled activity you MUST have parent/guardian permission to be filmed and photographed. You MUST also be available to attend both dates below. Saturday 19th July 10am - 2pm movement session (lunch, drinks and snacks provided) Sunday 27th July 9am - 12pm filming day (snacks and drinks provided) Please do not book onto this session if you can only attend one of these dates

Children SEND are welcome to take part in this activity, if you feel that they can fully participate, without needing adult support. Unfortunately we do not have additional staffing on this date to offer 1:1 or personal support/care. The film extra role is a walking and movement part. Please also be aware that this is going to be a very busy and eventful day, with over 100 community cast members and staff, and therefore it may not be suitable for children who struggle with noisy and busy environments.
