What we'll do
We will meet the children and young people at either: Tesco Extra, Prince Ave, Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea SS0 0JP Lidl Rayleigh Rd, Southend-on-Sea, Leigh-on-Sea SS9 5PR or at Barleylands Farm. At Butterflies Club we wave goodbye to parents at the door and the children are supported by our staff. We will spend the day at the farm before returning to you at the collection point. At the farm we will participate in animal feeding, play parks, tractor rides, group games such as bingo, visit the farming museum, animal watching and some relaxation activities. We will enjoy a lunch during the morning session and afternoon tea during the afternoon session as part of the HAF program on this activity. As this is a community based activity under group ratio, session participants must be able to follow simple safety instructions at all times. If you child has higher risk behaviours or struggle to follow simple safety instruction, please book on to our higher ratio sessions.

Butterflies Clubs is one of the biggest SEND specific clubs and activity providers in Essex, with over 600 children attending! With a focus on clear boundaries and structured activities, we use therapeutic thinking as our approach to supporting children and young people to be as independent as safely possible.

Joining us at Butterflies Club
To take part in the activities with us at Butterflies Club you MUST register and join us at a meet & greet event, so we can get to know your child with you present and get a risk assessment in place to ensure the activities are suitable for them and also to ensure we are fully prepared for any care needs or support needs they may have.

We promote independence at every opportunity, ensuring children and young people are supported to be as independent as possible during their time with us

We support the children and young people to work on peer relationships to create friendships, including supporting conflict resolution to maintain friendships where suitable
Aim 3
We teach our behaviour curriculum to ensure that children and young people know what is expected of them during the sessions and how we will support them to achieve this.

Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.Spaces will be cancelled by Butterflies Club if your child has not attended a meet & greet with our staff to ensure the session is suitable for the child or young persons level of support needs.
