What we'll do
At each of our events there is a different theme. This Easter we will have a Disney theme going on. There will be a craft challenge where you will be able to let your creative juices flow and use your problem solving skills too. There will be different opportunities to access our various instruments to create a mini band or sing along to our 'song of the day'. We are fortunate enough to be able to access a specialist voice recording portable studio so we can create various things from adverts to podcasts, all it takes is a little imagination. Throw in a whole heap of our favourite games such as wink murder, fruit salad, ten second object game and splat to name just a few, before taking on the plank challenge - will you be our daily winner? Along with a delicious lunch and some quiet time, there is plenty of fun to be had for all.

About your mentor
Barton Community Band
Creating the next creative generation!
We are a community brass band, with both a main contesting and performing band and a training band, with learners of all ages. We are able to offer brass tuition to learners and the opportunity to join our training band and progress to our main band. Our training band meets every Thursday 6pm - 7pm and our main band rehearse every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30pm - 9:30pm. We enjoy performing around our local area and further afield as well as competing in the National Brass Band contests each year. We are also delighted to work in our community and support other opportunities for children and adults to bring out their creative side!
Breakdown of the day
You will arrive at 10 am to get signed in with us before joining in some fun icebreaker games. We will have a varied plan of activities each day, but break for a snack and drink at around 11 am. A delicious and tasty lunch is served around 12 noon. Quieter activities after lunch to let our food settle. More games and activities with access to drinks and snacks in the afternoon available also. Finish time is 2pm where you will be collected by your responsible adult!
