What we'll do
This Easter we are delighted to be able to host three days of activity in our band room. Over the 3 days there will be a range of activities to explore from musical games, skills and new instruments to try to a variety of craft sessions with items to take home at the end of the day. We will be looking at keeping ourselves healthy and this will be done through our activities as well as a delicious lunch, with snacks and drinks also available throughout the session. There will be plenty of fun to be had, but don't worry, there will be other activities and quiet time if you need it. Please make sure that you wear suitable footwear (trainers are good, no slip on shoes please) for the active activities! We look forward to welcoming both old and new friends! .

Barton Community Band
Creating the next creative & inspiring generation!
Jay and her team from Barton Community Band are looking forward to welcoming you to their Easter Activity Days at Band Camp Headquarters! Hosted by the band, the leader for the Fuelled sessions is Jay who is a qualified teacher working in a large East Riding secondary school and is also the safeguarding officer for the band. Jay has also successfully ran a drama group in the past for many years producing plays and pantomimes including music and choreography. The band are a community brass band, with both a main contesting and performing band and is also proud to have it's own training band, with learners of all ages. We are able to offer brass tuition to learners and loan an instrument while a member of the band. Members also have the opportunity to join our training band, progressing to our main band. The training band meet every Thursday 6pm - 7pm and our main band rehearse every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30pm - 9:30pm. We enjoy performing around our local area and further afield as well as competing in the National Brass Band contests each year. We are also delighted to work in our community and support other opportunities for children and adults to bring out their creative side!
Breakdown of the day
You will arrive at 10 am to get signed in with us before joining in some fun icebreaker games. There will be a variety of activities planned for the day with breaks for snacks and juice throughout. We will be able to have a delicious and tasty lunch served around 12 noon. With some quieter activities planned for after lunch to let our food settle, we will continue with more games and activities until our finish time at 2pm. Depending on the weather, we are hoping to do a community activity outside, so children will need to make sure that they bring a coat (appropriate for the current weather). All children will be signed out and collected by their responsible adult at 2pm!
