Our SUMMIT Open classes are designed to help young adults have fun learning dance sequences and to develop fitness, coordination, and technical dance skills. From pointed toes to strong cores, these 1-hour sessions put young people through the paces in a fun environment. Spin, jump, drop as you learn phrases and leave smiling and sweating! Switch off from school with these fun 1-hour dance classes that will have you laughing, sweating and learning new movements/dance skills.

Ascension
Empowering peopple thourgh dance and movement
Ascension uses Parkour and Dance to empower and inspire people. Based in the heart of Coventry at their home, Studio 17, they run classes for all ages, including young people with additional needs. Our goal isn’t just to create the next generation of dancers (though that would be amazing); it’s to use movement to develop resilient, well-rounded humans. Join a class and experience the warmth and community vibe for yourself.

Company Director
AJ, Company Director of Ascension, is a warm and energising presence, always seeking new ways to get people moving and to share the joy he discovered in movement as a young person. He thrives on seeing someone achieve something they once thought impossible and is excited to support new participants as they discover their own potential through Ascension workshops.
What shall I wear..
Please ensure that you wear comfortable attire so your young person can move in. Although we will aim to get everybody moving as soon as possible, the space can sometimes get chilly when listening to instruction, so we recommend bringing a hoodie or jumper We do not recommend wearing your best clothes as we may be climbing, rolling and sliding across surfaces that may scuff clothing. Footwear - Please make sure your young person is wearing trainers or active wear shoes with good cushioning and toe flexion. When teaching material to young people, we work barefoot but on occasion, we will use set and dance on objects that require supported footwear.
