About your mentors
The Woad Farm Project
Getting young people outside with animals!
The Woad Farm Project is a not-for-profit farm, set up to support the wellbeing of children and young people in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. We have a particular focus on looked after or care-experienced children, but are driven by the opportunity to share the benefits of animals, nature and the outdoors to all children. Sessions leaders are fully DBS checked and First Aid trained too.
Jess Smith
Session Leader
Jess loves spending time outdoors, either on long walks with her dog Bonnie, the golden retriever, or down at the allotment. She loves learning about nature, animals, plants and the environment. Jess has worked for the Parks Trust in Milton Keynes delivering Forest Schools and environmental education sessions, and enjoys nothing more than sharing the joy of the outdoors with others.
