About Eequ
Eequ is an online booking, payment and activity management platform for clubs, classes, childcare, sports, holiday activities, education and training.
It is used by everyone from independent activity providers and small businesses to multi-location organisations, franchises, universities and local authorities. Providers can manage paid activities, funded programmes or a mixture of both through one booking system.
Not at all. Eequ is used by all kinds of individuals and organisations that take activity bookings online.
Eequ is ideal for childcare providers, wraparound care providers, holiday clubs, sports clubs, performing arts schools, training providers, adult educators, outdoor educators and Forest Schools.
It is suitable for everyone from individuals hosting one-off activities, through to small activity businesses and large institutions such as universities and government education centres.
Childcare & holiday activities
Yes. Eequ is particularly well suited to wraparound childcare providers.
First, Eequ helps automate the significant administrative burden associated with Tax-Free Childcare and legacy childcare voucher payments. Childcare payments can be tracked and reconciled alongside your other bookings rather than managed through separate spreadsheets and systems.
Second, wraparound care often involves multiple sessions, times, children and booking options. Eequ allows providers to offer complex choices while keeping the booking experience simple for parents.
Finally, wraparound childcare providers increasingly deliver a mixture of privately paid and government-funded provision. Eequ's extensive work with local authorities means providers can manage both within one platform and future-proof their booking and data management.
Yes. Eequ is particularly well suited to holiday clubs, activity camps and multi-activity providers.
Camps often have complicated booking requirements, including multiple dates, different hours, age groups, sibling bookings, early and late collection and different ticket types. Eequ makes these choices simple for parents.
Providers can manage bookings, payments, childcare payments, discounts, registers, waiting lists and important participant information in one place.
Eequ is also widely used for HAF and other council-funded holiday activities, making it ideal for organisations offering a mixture of paid and funded places.
Sports & coaching
Yes. Eequ is particularly well suited to multisports clubs, coaching organisations and sports activity providers running different activities across multiple venues and age groups.
You can create separate programmes for football, cricket, basketball, athletics, multi-activity sessions and more, while managing dates, capacity, registers, payments and participant information centrally.
Eequ also makes it easy to offer sibling and multi-session discounts and combine paid activities with funded programmes such as HAF. This makes it a strong booking platform for multisports organisations that want to grow without creating more administration.
Yes. Eequ provides a flexible booking system for football clubs, football academies, coaching businesses and holiday football camps.
You can manage regular coaching sessions, development programmes, trials, holiday camps and one-off events, with different tickets for ages, abilities and session types. Players can book individual dates or complete blocks, while automated waiting lists help fill spaces when sessions sell out.
For larger football providers, Eequ can also manage multiple coaches, venues and programmes, as well as both privately paid and council-funded places through the same platform.
Dance, performing arts & creative activities
Absolutely. Eequ is an excellent booking system for dance schools, dance academies and independent dance teachers.
You can offer weekly classes, term-time courses, workshops, holiday sessions and one-off events, with different options for ages, abilities and class types.
Parents can book multiple sessions and siblings easily, while dance schools can manage payments, registers, waiting lists, discounts and customer information in one place. Beautiful listing pages also give you a professional way to showcase your teachers, classes and venues and attract new students.
Yes. Eequ is a strong booking system for performing arts schools offering dance, drama, theatre, music and other creative classes.
Performing arts providers often need to manage several age groups, teachers, venues and recurring classes at the same time. Eequ allows you to organise these clearly while giving parents a simple booking experience.
You can offer term-time blocks, individual sessions, workshops, holiday programmes and special events, with waiting lists, sibling and multi-session discounts, registers and integrated payments.
It is equally suitable for an independent teacher, a growing performing arts academy or a larger organisation operating across several locations.
Absolutely. Eequ is designed for in-person learning experiences, making it an ideal booking platform for arts and crafts classes, creative workshops and makers.
You can offer everything from pottery, painting and textiles to jewellery making, illustration, woodworking and seasonal craft workshops.
Eequ works equally well for a one-off workshop or a programme of regular classes for children or adults. Image-rich listings help customers discover what you offer, while Eequ takes care of bookings, payments, dates, class sizes, customer information and communication behind the scenes.
Outdoor & educational activities
Very much so. Forest Schools have been part of the Eequ community from the beginning, and Eequ provides a booking platform well suited to Forest School providers.
Forest Schools can manage regular sessions, holiday clubs, bushcraft courses, mentoring programmes, home education groups and adult nature-based learning.
Registration questions allow providers to collect important information before a participant arrives, while staff can access the information they need through their registers.
Eequ also provides a marketplace for in-person learning, helping families discover Forest Schools and outdoor experiences while reducing the administrative work involved in running them.
Yes. Eequ has been designed with outdoor educators and adventure activity providers in mind.
It can be used for outdoor education, expeditions, residential programmes, adventure activities, bushcraft, nature programmes and outdoor holiday camps.
Providers can collect registration information, consent and risk acknowledgements during booking, manage payments and refunds, communicate with participants and give staff access to accurate registers.
For programmes where participation needs to be assessed first, Eequ can also support a two-stage booking process so that applications can be reviewed before a place is confirmed.
Absolutely. Eequ believes in lifelong learning, and many organisations providing learning experiences include adults as part of their offer.
Eequ is suitable for adult education, vocational training, apprenticeships, short courses, mentoring, professional development, wellbeing activities, creative workshops, sports and other in-person learning experiences.
Young people and adults can find it surprisingly difficult to discover good-quality local clubs, mentoring, short courses and training opportunities. Eequ gives providers an easy way to list activities, take online bookings and payments, manage participants and communicate with bookers in one place.
Growing & multi-location organisations
Yes. Eequ is particularly useful for activity franchises and growing organisations operating across multiple locations. Larger franchises can use Eequ's enterprise platform to give franchise owners greater performance data and oversight.
Franchisees can manage their own accounts and create separate listings for different venues, age groups and activities while maintaining a consistent booking experience for customers.
Existing listings can be duplicated when launching at new locations, making expansion easier without rebuilding the booking process every time.
Eequ is particularly suitable for children's activity franchises operating sports clubs, holiday camps, performing arts, childcare or enrichment programmes. Providers can manage both commercial bookings and council-funded programmes such as HAF, allowing different revenue streams to be managed through one platform.
Pricing & fees
There is no monthly subscription, no contract to tie you in and no setup fee.
Eequ charges one simple, bundled fee of 7% per paid booking. This includes all payment processing costs and VAT.
This means that if you are not taking paid bookings during a quiet period, you are not paying anything. It makes Eequ an affordable booking system for clubs, classes and activity providers of all sizes.
Eequ is transparent and clear about costs. Your 7% fee includes Eequ's service fee, all Stripe payment processing costs and VAT. There are no additional Stripe fees to pay.
Payment processing costs can vary from transaction to transaction. Eequ keeps your fee stable so that you can budget and forecast easily.
If you are comparing Eequ with a booking platform where Stripe or another payment processor is charged separately, make sure you compare the true total cost. Subscription fees, transaction fees and payment processing costs can quietly add up over a year.
This is your choice. You can decide how much of the 7% fee your customers pay and how much you would like to absorb.
By default, we split the fee:
- 3% paid by the Booker
- 4% paid by the Provider
If you would like to change this split, just message support@eequ.org.
No. Free tickets and free bookings are completely free.
This makes Eequ particularly useful for organisations offering a mixture of paid and funded activities, including HAF and other council-funded programmes.
Nothing. You can process Tax-Free Childcare and legacy childcare voucher bookings through Eequ at no additional cost.
Eequ helps providers collect, track and reconcile childcare payments alongside their normal bookings, making it particularly economical for wraparound childcare, breakfast clubs, after-school clubs and holiday childcare providers.
No. You do not need your own independent Stripe account.
Eequ uses a fully integrated Stripe payment system to securely process payments on your behalf.
This gives you comprehensive payment functionality and reporting within Eequ without having to manage a separate Stripe account or reconcile two different systems.
Getting paid
You can see your balance and payment activity at all times and choose between two payout methods:
- Automatic payouts: your cleared balance is automatically paid out every Tuesday morning.
- Manual payouts: withdraw your available balance whenever you choose.
Your Eequ payouts area also provides detailed reporting on payments, refunds, fees and earnings by listing, helping to simplify bookkeeping and reconciliation.
Yes, both. Parents can pay using Tax-Free Childcare and legacy childcare voucher schemes.
You can manage multiple childcare settings for different venues and customise which legacy voucher schemes you accept. Parents can select their childcare payment method as part of the normal Eequ booking process, while Eequ helps you track and reconcile those payments and maintain a clear audit trail.
This makes Eequ a particularly strong booking system for wraparound childcare providers, holiday clubs and other eligible childcare providers accepting Tax-Free Childcare and childcare vouchers.
Automating much of the childcare payment administration can save providers many hours of manual reconciliation, and there is no additional Eequ fee for processing childcare payments.
Yes. Eequ offers an integrated bank transfer payment option.
Some customers, such as schools, charities and government organisations, cannot easily pay with a debit or credit card. They can choose bank transfer at checkout and receive the payment instructions and reference they need.
Eequ automatically matches the incoming bank transfer to the correct booking and updates its payment status once the funds arrive, removing the need to manually reconcile individual payments.
Yes. For larger bookings, such as residentials, courses or a full holiday of childcare, you can split the cost across multiple payments so that a family can pay in instalments while their place remains reserved.
This gives families greater flexibility without requiring providers to manage payment plans separately from their booking system.
When a customer cancels, you can review the refund request and decide whether to approve or decline it, subject to your cancellation policy and the customer's statutory rights.
Eequ collects and presents your cancellation policy to the Booker when they make their booking, so expectations are clear from the outset. You can then decide whether to follow your policy or offer a gesture of goodwill on a case-by-case basis.
A useful alternative can be a credit note, which you can quickly create through Eequ.
If you, as the provider, cancel an activity or session, the affected customer is automatically refunded.
Trialling Eequ
Yes, and this is how many organisations start.
You can list one activity, club or venue on Eequ and run it alongside your existing booking system.
There is no contract, subscription or obligation, so you can test Eequ with real customers and real bookings rather than relying on a demo alone. If the trial is successful, you can gradually move more of your activities and venues across.
This makes switching booking systems low risk and avoids unnecessary disruption for your customers. Our Customer Success team can help you choose the best activity for your pilot and get everything set up.
Switching booking systems
You do not need to move everything at once.
Most providers start by creating their current activities on Eequ and then gradually move bookings across.
Our guided onboarding takes you through creating your first listing, and our Customer Success team can help with setup and staff training. If you have several similar activities, you can duplicate an existing listing and use it as a template, making setup across multiple clubs, venues or age groups much faster.
You can continue running your old booking system alongside Eequ while you transition, giving you control over when and how you switch.
In many cases, you do not need a complicated customer data migration.
As existing customers make their first booking through Eequ, they provide the information you need and their Eequ customer record is created as part of the booking process. This allows your customer database to build naturally as you move across.
If you need to preserve existing or historic bookings, Eequ also allows bookings and past attendance to be added retrospectively. Our Customer Success team can advise on the simplest migration approach for your organisation.
Yes. You can leave existing bookings in your current system and use Eequ for new bookings from a chosen date, or move across activity by activity.
Because there is no subscription or minimum term, you do not have to make a risky overnight switch.
Larger organisations can phase their migration by venue, programme or team.
Setup & onboarding
Very quickly. Small clubs and activity providers can often create their first listing and start taking online bookings within a day or two.
Larger organisations with multiple venues, programmes or staff may prefer a structured onboarding plan so that listings, payment settings, permissions and staff training are in place before launch.
Either way, you do not need a lengthy implementation project. Eequ provides guided onboarding, help articles and direct support from our team throughout the process.
Yes. Eequ provides guided onboarding, one-to-one support and training for your team at no additional cost.
Small providers can use the guided setup to create their first activity quickly, while larger organisations can receive more structured support for multiple venues, programmes and staff.
Our team can also review your listings before you launch and help make sure your booking setup works well for both your organisation and your customers.
Yes. Eequ is designed for organisations running multiple activities, venues, age groups and programmes.
Once you have created a good listing, you can duplicate it and use it as a template for similar activities, changing details such as the venue, age range, dates and tickets. You can also simply add new dates when an activity repeats.
This can make moving a larger activity business to Eequ considerably faster than recreating every club or course from scratch.
About the demo
An Eequ demo normally takes around 30 minutes and is held by video call with a member of our Customer Success team.
The walkthrough is tailored to your type of organisation, so you can focus on the functionality that actually matters to you. That might include online bookings and payments, Tax-Free Childcare, registers, waiting lists, discounts, multiple venues, funded places, reporting or switching from your current booking system.
If you have already started setting up Eequ, we can also review what you have created and suggest improvements.
Bring your operational, finance or technical questions too. The purpose of the demo is to work out whether Eequ is a good fit for your organisation.
No. Our demos are run by the Customer Success team rather than a traditional sales team.
There is nothing to sign afterwards and Eequ has no contract, monthly subscription or minimum term. We are very happy for you to compare Eequ with other activity booking systems and ask difficult questions.
After the demo, you can start setting up immediately, trial Eequ with one activity or decide that it is not the right platform for you.
