Newham SEND Short Breaks
Refresh & Recharge: SEND Short Breaks!
Activities for children and young people with additional needs There is a variety of activities in Newham that children and young people with special educational needs or disability can take part in. Some of these activities may be specifically for children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities, others may be for all children and young people. Often these activities are run by people or groups independent of us. We are with community groups and schools to help make sure that all events and activities are as accessible as possible
This is a family based trip and all parents /carers are solely responsible for the safety of their own children. There will be a limited number of staff on site who are first aid trained however will only be there to signpost and offer advice during the session. A risk assessment of the venue has been made by Flip Out and each individual on the trip will need to fill out a waiver form and watch the safety video before you are able to jump. All jumpers will be given socks at the venue.
Proof of disability
Please send a copy of proof of disability for your child to the Short Breaks Co-ordinator Leonora.Featherman@newham.gov.uk and include your booking reference and name of child with SEND. Please send the information within 2 days of your booking to secure your places.

Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
