What we'll do
The Earthwake staff facilitate a huge range of activities during their activity days, allowing the children freedom and choice. We are flexible and adaptable and encourage the children to try new things, become involved, work as teams and learn from everyone present. Our summer sessions will be very child-led, but can include: tool use, den building, green woodworking, natural arts and crafts, mosaic making, invertebrate hunting, cooking and eating together. Lunch and snacks will be provided - we offer variety and choice. If the weather and group allows, we will cook outside, providing hot food by cooking on camping gas stoves. Healthy eating and trying new foods is encouraged, in a very gentle and sensitive way. We will think about the wildlife around us, with a focus on insects, as we explore what lives in the grounds. We encourage enjoyment of being together, outside.
