What we'll do
Join us for a fun filled, jam packed week at the Waltham Forest Kitchen workshop. We will be cooking up a storm and making curries burgers, pizzas, healthy snacks and many more delicious meals to take home for our families to try. Each day we will be joined by a special guest, a professional chef who owns a local business. The week will also involve physical activities games and designing and creating our own pizza, cookie and chocolate boxes. Children and young people who take part in this workshop will have the opportunity to win prices through out the week. Children must attend the full five days. All children will be given a cooked lunch and healthy snacks through the day.
About your mentor
MAKING IT MINDFUL
Mindfulness, movement, cooking and crafts
We are a non – profit organisation of creatives providing fun filled and interactive mindfulness, movement, cooking and art workshops and classes for children, families and adults. We believe it’s important to work on our mental wellbeing as well as our physical wellbeing. Our sessions have a holistic approach and are a safe space for every child and adult to feel welcome and to be able to express themselves through our creative workshops. We facilitate children’s clubs during the school holidays as well as provide weekly sessions during term time for children, families and adults in Waltham Forest and Essex. We are a small and personal organisation with a strong passion to serve our community providing fun activities and spreading a positive message. Our aim is to teach simple tools that people can take into their everyday lives to improve their mental and physical wellbeing as well as having lots of fun and making new friends from our events. No one is exempt from the challenges that life can throw at us so it is so important to do things that support our well-being and help us become the best versions of ourselves, for ourselves, our community and the people that we love
