What we'll do
Day 1 - Movie Trailers workshop. How to film and use the equipment. What is a movie trailer and a chance for them to make their own on iMovie. Day 2 - Animation Workshop - Show examples of animation and teach them the basics of stop-frame animation. Each child will work in a small team to make their animation which will include a voiceover that they have to record. Day 3 - Music Video Workshop - Talk through types of music videos and split into groups to devise their music video. Using skills they have learnt during the week they film, act, dance and possibly sing their music video. Day 4 - Finish any films they have yet to complete from the week or start a fresh project from their favourite activity. As well as taking part in the activities we will play indoor games and run healthy eating activities.

The Offshoot Foundation is a registered charity and has consistently produced professional filmmaking workshops and projects for young people across the whole UK since 2008. These projects help develop confidence, leadership and teamwork skills through film making and creative media. We aim to empower, enthuse and inspire young people, to develop life skills and raise aspirations by using creative media to reach their full potential.
