Join a group of young investigators as we explore local woodland and have fun amongst the trees. TESTIMONIALS "Thank you for today! Bea came back elated, full of stories about where chalk comes from, the digging bumble bee and how much you love trees! She can't wait for next Thursday." "I can 100% say my girls have never come back so happy and elated from being with a childcarer. Ian is a natural and provides the complete opposite to the usual childcare/school setting where the norm is for the child to come back bored and tired from the restrictions resulting from their individual natures being surpressed and having to fit in boxes. About your Mentor

About your Mentor

As a qualified childminder and experienced teacher with a deep appreciation of science and the natural world, there's nothing I love more than to be out in the wilds with young people. I'm also a storyteller, a musician and someone with a lot of resources to challenge and stimulate young people. I'm fascinated by everything and if I've mastered anything in this life, it's that I've learned how to learn. Most of my students seem to find that passion contagious. “You completely smashed my idea of what a teacher can be.” Enes, Turkey. “Nobody can teach as well as you.” Lilly, Austria. “In school or in front of my computer, listening to you and learning with you are not just ways to improve my skills, but also to be a more interesting person.” Lauren, Brazil. “The best teacher!” Josefa, Chile. “The funniest teacher I’ve ever had, we laughed so much.” Albano, Portugal. “You impressed me a lot, it was an amazing time in your class.” Reiko, Japan. “You are simply the best teacher ...

Learning aims

To enjoy being in the woods.

Strengths to develop

Watching young people exploring in the woods is a workout in itself, clambering up and down the muddy banks, climbing on and off the stumps, trunks and trees we find along the way.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.

No refunds are given except in the case of a cancellation by the Mentor.

Sorry but experience suggests that everything works out better for everyone concerned when there is full commitment.
