What we'll do
Two free games of bowling, and dinner out (Nando's, Pizza Express, Wing Kingz) for 14-16 year olds who are in receipt of benefit related free school meals. Giving the 'older young people' some time, space, independence & enrichment away from their younger siblings. This session is funded as part of Milton Keynes City Council Holiday Activities and Food Programme to deliver sessions for school aged children in receipt of benefit-related Free School Meals (FSM), during the Winter school holidays in 2024. We will meet up at Hollywood Bowl, and then after the two games of bowling (drink included), we will then make our way to one of the restaurants at the Xscape. The sessions will be led by qualified and DBS-checked coaches & youth workers so we are able to provide some informal mentoring at the same time as having some fun and some good food together! This programme will increase your child's confidence, and their communication skills, as well as their self-esteem and social skills with other young people & adult positive role models.
