About your mentor
Academy 1nternational Ltd
A1 for sports, music and tuition
We have been successfully running holiday clubs providing a variety of sports, arts and craft, guitar and piano/keyboard sessions as well as day trips for kids from 5-16. During term time, we also offer tuition in all school subjects from KS1 to A' Level specialising in 11+ tuition.
FAQs
Our activity club runs 4 days per week from Monday to Thursday, 22nd July until 15th August, 9.30am until 1.30pm. Due to all the sports and games held each day, (as well as painting on some days) we advise that children come dressed appropriately. It is advisable to bring a water bottle too! There is a choice of delicious food provided each day, including vegetarian and Halal meals.
Learning aims
Aim 1
We aim to develop confidence and physical skills through sports and dance. Team work is also encouraged during physical activities as well as during our creative sessions.
Aim 3
Children will be confident in learning how to build a shelter for survival skills and will be able to identify edible berries in the woods should they attend one of our day trips.
Aim 5
An important aim during our activity club is to ensure that children and young persons learn about healthy food and know how to prepare a nutritious meal.
Aim 2
We aim to give kids vision for a future career, encouraging them to play a musical instrument or show them how to make clothes and accessories, valuable creative skills.
Aim 4
We encourage progression of individual talents in painting, sewing and model making. Young persons will be confident using makeup artistry skills outside of our club too.
