Activities include: team games, fire-lighting, combat archery, archery, catapult building , swimming, geocaching and more.
For our October sessions, there will be a combination of indoor and outdoor activities at our centres. The sessions in October run from 8:30 - 16:30, please meet in the main reception area and take along your booking confirmation.
SEND Supported sessions will run : 31st October 2024
SEND SUPPORT: There is ONLY Additional SEND support on the dates listed above: On these days we provide an extra instructor increasing our ratio from 1:10 to 1:5 to provide a little extra support to those that need it. Children will still be expected to be independent and manage their own behaviour and interactions with other children as set out in our behavioural policy.

What time do the sessions start and where do I need to be?
The sessions start at 8:30am and finish at 4:30pm, (Drop off must be before 10am)
please arrive promptly to get the most out of the day. Double check the meeting location.
Is lunch provided?
Yes – we provide breakfast, lunch and snacks for our Free Adventure Day sessions. You must notify us of any dietary requirements when completing your booking. We get young people to make their own lunches supported by our instructors.

I don’t know what day I am meant to book?
Please book whichever days best suit you.
I am a reserve - how will I be notified of a space?
We keep a list of names and phone numbers of reserves, if a space becomes available we will contact families on the reserve list directly and tell you when and how to book.
My child is under 8 years – can they still attend?
No – unfortunately all children must be 8 years + on the first session they attend.
(Younger children can attend with parents on our Family Park Cooking days – contact us for more info)
My child is over 12 years – can they still attend?
No – unfortunately all children must be between 8 and 12 years on session they attend.
(Older children can attend one of our Teen Challenge Days for 11-16 years olds or with parents on our Family Park Cooking days – contact us for more info)
Do I have to attend with my children?
No, you drop your child off and leave them with our team of instructors for the day. All children MUST be signed in by an adult at the start of the day. Instructors will need to confirm with the parent/guardian who will be collecting the child every day.
If it is raining will the session still go ahead?
Yes – all of the activities are completely safe in the rain. If we are due bad weather, please bring waterproof clothes, wellies and warm layers and we will carry on regardless. All sites have indoor spaces available if needed.
My child can't swim - can they still attend?
Yes – for any children that can't swim we will provide an alternative activity. Children entering the pool must be able to swim a width of the pool without aids.
I have booked, but I now can’t attend. What should I do?
Please only book if you plan to turn up – we understand in some circumstances that you may have to cancel. Spaces on this programme are very limited, and if a family fails to show up, then a space will have been wasted which could have been offered to another family. BEHAVIOUR STATEMENT
You and your child are expected to read this code of conduct together in order to help your child behave appropriately while at the Explore Outdoor session. You are expected to sign the form stating your acceptance and understanding of it.
Children are expected to behave appropriately and promote a safe, fun and healthy environment through productive participation. The staff will use a positive approach to discipline and will seek parental support to resolve behavioural issues if need be. Children who remain disruptive may be dismissed from the programme.
Please go through the code of conduct with your child so that he/she fully understands the expectations.
As a child on the Explore Outdoor session, I will:
Show respect to other children and treat them as well as I would like to be treated.
Know the rules of the session and follow them.
Respect the rights and beliefs of others, and treat others with courtesy and consideration.
Communicate in an appropriate manner which means I must not use foul language or gestures, harsh words or tone of voice.
Control my temper
Conduct myself responsibly. I understand that unwelcome teasing, messing around or other unkind behaviours are not allowed.
Refrain from deliberately causing bodily harm to the children or staff. I understand that pushing, kicking, hitting, or fighting are not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
Use the equipment and facilities properly.
Respect the property of others.
Be fully responsible for my actions and understand that irresponsible behaviour will result in disciplinary action.
I understand and accept the code of conduct. I will listen and follow the instructors’ directions the first time of asking and display sportsmanship and fair play at all times. I understand I will automatically be removed from the session for unacceptable behaviour.
PHOTOGRAPHY STATEMENT
By ticking "yes" I agree to the use of photograph (s)/digital image (s) of the above named participants for use in news releases, Abbeycroft Leisure publications, and public places. I understand that these materials might include printed or electronic publications, websites, social media or other electronic communications. I further agree that above names and identity may be revealed in descriptive text or commentary in connection with the image (s)/film (s). I authorise the use of these images without compensation to me. All negatives, prints, digital reproductions shall be the property of Abbeycroft Leisure. -This consent form is valid for five years. We will not use the photographs/filming for any other purposes than those mentioned above in this form. Images may be shared with direct delivery partners for the programme you are attending. We will not include personal details (such as postal address or telephone number) on any of our marketing/promotional materials.
