Ever wanted to make your own animation? You have come to the right place! Our workshops teach children how to make short animations, including operating cameras, using animation software/ computers and recording sounds. We will also have a screening premiere with parents and siblings and children are sent their films to keep!

In addition to animation. Lucie from Feel Good Food provides 20 mins of fun nutritional cooking activities for children. Seasonal-themed animation activities: Family, Community & Thanksgiving Focus. Animated Greeting Cards. Make and film your own animated greeting card. This could be a birthday wish or to celebrate a festival eg Xmas or Eid. An example of an animated greeting card can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uMuJaH7qQQ Children will design their cards using paper, silhouettes, cut outs, drawings and props . They could also produce type letters for their messages, to animate. Alternative activities: Animated Lego movie, animated claymation. Winter Nutrition Activities - Exploring sense of taste, touch and smell: Grazing board activity - Exploring interesting fruits/ veg/ pickles/ dips/ cheese. In small groups, children will be encouraged to try different tastes from the grazing board and experiment flavour combinations and report back their favourite combos. Alternative activity - Healthy snacking. We will make home made popcorn mixed with a variety of flavours to explore tastes - butter (salty) maple syrup & cinnamon (sweet)/ nutritional yeast (cheesy taste). After lunch, we head out for some games and a play in the park! Lucie from Feel Good Food will provide a nutritious and delicious hot yummy lunch each day. Allergies and intolerances and special diets can be catered for on request (vegetarian/ gluten/dairy-free options provided). ***This activity has been funded through the Department for Education’s (DfE) Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme and coordinated by East Sussex County Council.
