A summary
Join Sporting Chance for our Summer Holiday Camp at Kings Forest Primary School (BS15 4PQ). We are open each day (930am - 330pm) for children aged 5-11 years (Year 1 to Year 6) from Monday 29th July to Thursday 22nd August. We are offering holiday activities and food clubs in the school Summer holidays for children who live in South Gloucestershire. South Gloucestershire Council has commissioned us to provide free places for children who get benefits-related free school meals (not universal infant free school meals) through Department for Education (DfE) funding. Children attending who get benefits-related free school meals will be entitled to a free lunch. As part of the programme we will be running daily health and nutrition workshops including activities such as; smoothie making, food prep activities, taste trials, and guess the fruit and veg! Sporting Chance employ enhanced DBS checked, qualified, and experienced staff to run all of our programmes. Our theme schedule for Summer 2024 is as follows: Mon 29th July - Cricket & Rounders Tues 30th July - Survival Skills Weds 31st July - Minority Sports Madness Thurs 1st Aug - Football Fantasticos Mon 5th Aug - Survival Skills Tues 6th Aug - Dodgeball & Invasion Games Weds 7th Aug - Football Fantasticos Thurs 8th Aug - Mini Olympics Mon 12th Aug - Football Fantasticos Tues 13th Aug - Cricket & Rounders Weds 14th Aug - Survival Skills Thurs 15th Aug - Dodgeball & Invasion Games Mon 19th Aug - Football Fantasticos Tues 20th Aug - Mini Olympics Weds 21st Aug - Stick & Racket Sports Thurs 22nd Aug - Survival Skills CREATE & EXPLORE SESSIONS: Our Create & Explore sessions are for those children who would like to choose an afternoon alternative to sport when booked into our holiday camps. Creative and imaginative play allows children to use their imaginations and express themselves freely. When children engage in imaginative play, they develop essential skills that they will use throughout their lives. Our Create & Explore sessions include activities such as: - Outdoor Arts & Crafts - Den Building - Scavenger Hunts And so much more!

Create & Explore...
Our Create & Explore sessions are for those children who would like to choose an afternoon alternative to sport when booked into our HAF camps. Creative and imaginative play allows children to use their imaginations and express themselves freely. When children engage in imaginative play, they develop essential skills that they will use throughout their lives. Our Create & Explore sessions include activities such as: - Outdoor Arts & Crafts - Den Building - Scavenger Hunts And so much more!
Learning aims
Aim 1
Survival Skills: The ever-popular survival days are jam packed full of exciting activities. The key skills include Den Building, Orienteering, Trust Games, Team Building Exercises, Jungle Gym, Scavenger Hunts, and Emergency First Aid.
Aim 3
Football Fantasticos: Our football themed days offer players the chance to work on key skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting. We play lots of small-sided games, including 5-a-side and Futsal, to promote teamwork, and ensure everyone has fun!
Aim 5
Cricket & Rounders: HOWZAT! You want to try scoring runs or rounders? Formerly our Cricket World Cup days has combined rounders and become Cricket and Rounders day! We also play different variations of both sports including T-Ball, Kwik Cricket, and Danish Long Ball.
Aim 7
Minority Sports Madness: This theme includes sports that aren't heavily participated around the world. Activities include Curling, Boccia, Ultimate Frisbee, Lacrosse, Archery, Kabbadi and many more.

Dodgeball & Invasion Games: Our Dodgeball day is now combined with Invasion Games. An invasion game is used to describe any game where the objective is to attack the opposition's territory and score a goal or point. This includes sports such as Basketball, Netball, Tag Rugby, Handball, Capture the Flag and Tagging games.
Aim 4
Mini Olympics: The Mini Olympics is an athletics-based day with competitions and challenges. It features a range of jumping, running, and throwing events to improve fitness and motivates children to achieve their Personal Bests!
Aim 6
Stick & Racket Sports: Game, set, and match! Stick & Racket sports include any sport where you use rackets or sticks to hit or control a ball (or shuttlecock) to play, some of this is outdoors and some indoors - weather dependent. Sports include tennis, ping pong, hockey, tri-golf and many more!
Lunch provided...
As part of our commitment to the HAF programme we will providing daily lunches and snacks prepared onsite for your child. We will also be hosting health, well-being and nutrition based workshops as part of this offer. Lunch provision - we have a set weekly menu for you to choose a meat option or vegetarian option. The menu is listed below. It is essential that if you would like to order lunch that you do so in the booking notes, listing your choices against each date your child(ren) is attending. Allergies / intolerances - please ensure you list any allergies in the menu choices when you book. Cancellation Policy
Cancel within 48 hours for a full refund.For cancellation of a booking, Sporting Chance will require 48 hours notice prior to the activity start date for a full refund. If less than 48 hours notice is given, customers who cancel their booking will receive a full credit note in the form of a voucher and this will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
