A summary
Short Breaks are offering a number family trips throughout the Summer Break open to children with SEND and their immediate family. This session is a family trip to Marsh Farm. A coach will be provided for the trip and there also an option to take own transport to the Farm also. Coach will leave from Shipman Youth centre at 9.30am and leaving the farm at approx 3.30pm There a number of activities at the Farm, please see details below: Marsh Farm's CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL Bubble ‘n Bop is back! Don’t miss Marsh Farm’s summer children’s festival ‘Bubble ‘n Bop’ it’s bursting with bubbles and exploding with excitement. There will be so much going on including our BRAND NEW Dinosaur Adventure to Explore, the much loved foam machine, our popular Splash Pool & Beach, our Train Ride, Fairground Rides & so much more! Enjoy a fun-packed day of family festival fun including… BRAND NEW Dinosaur Adventure The Beach Ride the Train Foam Party Adorable Animals Adventure Play Sand Pit Fun Bubble ‘n Bop Disco Carousel, Tea Cup and Galloper* Ride Glitter Face Art Looky-Looky Lego Land On your Rocker Outdoor Play Bouncy Pillows Walkaround Entertainment Outdoor Animal Areas Soft Play Trillions of BUBBLES All adults and children attending the trip will be provided a packed lunch if option has been selected. You will be asked to send proof of disability to ensure your place is reserved, please send this over to shortbreaktrips@newham.gov.uk Short Breaks Trips The trips are for families with a child with SEND. To qualify for the sessions at least one child within your immediate family (up to 18 years old) will have special educational needs and/or disability (SEND). A family can have up to 2 adults 4 children. Siblings are welcome. Bookings are limited to 6 spaces per trip per family. Please contact Leonora.featherman@newham.gov.uk directly if more spaces are required. Please only book onto two trips, if you are interested in more than one session please book on your top choice trips and then email shortbreaktrips@newham.gov.uk with the sessions you are interested in. If places are available, you will be notified. If you book into more than two sessions your first two choices will be allocated to you and you will be cancelled off any other bookings. Trips planned for the Summer holidays are: 26th July – Despicable Me 4 – Stratford Picture House 31st July – The Lion Inside – Unicorn Theatre 2nd August - Marsh Farm 5th August – Gootopia slime making workshop 10th August- Adventure Island 12th August – Art sessions - Jewellery and key ring making 15th August – Whipsnade Zoo 17th August - London Zoo 21st August- Walthamstow “Beach Day” with train track 23rd August - Cookies Island Stay and Play 28th August - Flip Out Canary Wharf 30th August - Flip Out Trampoline Park Newham Stay and Play 1st September – Family Fun Day – Ark in the Park Reminder: Please only book into two trip if you are interested in other please register your interest by emailing shortbreaktrips@newham.gov.uk with the sessions and you will be contacted if spaces become available.

Activities for children and young people with additional needs There is a variety of activities in Newham that children and young people with special educational needs or disability can take part in. Some of these activities may be specifically for children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities, others may be for all children and young people. Often these activities are run by people or groups independent of us. We are with community groups and schools to help make sure that all events and activities are as accessible as possible
Proof of Disability
Please send a copy of proof of disability for your child to shortbreaktrips@newham.gov.uk and include your booking reference and name of child with SEND. Please send the information within 2 days of your booking to secure your places.
