A summary
The Neurodiversity Family Hub, will be hosting a 3-part Podcast Production Workshop for 'My Tribe Teens' group of neurodiverse young people. Over three specially designed sessions, the candidates will learn how to plan, script, present, record, edit, and publish their podcast - culminating in a final presentation of their podcast at Neurodiversity Week. Working in groups, the candidates will be guided and mentored by our team of experts as they perform a wide variety of tasks including researching, pitching, and storyboarding their podcast ideas, scriptwriting, audio-branding, guest selection and preparation, presenting, selecting the right tech, recording, creating trailers, stings, and music beds, editing and publishing of their final podcast. The overall objective of the program is to present your Teens with a wide range of hands-on, creative, and technical tasks to allow them to explore their strengths and talents in a project-based environment and provide the opportunity to work together and collaborate in teams toward a shared goal.

Marine Bernier-Harrington
Co-Founder & Director
Hello, my name is Marine and I am a founder member of The Neurodiversity Family Hub. I am dyslexic and have neurodiverse children. My journey in the realm of neurodiversity began 15 years ago when one of my children, just 2 years old at the time, exhibited distinctive traits that set them apart from neurotypical individuals. Through a relentless seven-year battle within the educational and medical systems, my child received a comprehensive diagnosis, encompassing Autism, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Dyslexia, and a severe language disorder. Fuelled by my experience, I embarked on an educational quest, immersing myself in the intricate worlds of Autism and Neurodiversity. My initial educational background includes a Master's Degree in Direct Marketing, and I worked in that field for years until I transitioned to the charity sector. My journey within the field of neurodiversity inspired me to expand my skill set by becoming a certified Transformational Life Coach, specializing in the Person-Centered (Rogerian) approach to accompany Parents of Neurodiverse Children and their children. And I am passionate about making sure Young Neurodiverse people and their families live happy lives in a caring community
Christopher Watson
helping people learn about audio production!
I have been involved in live and recorded music since 2006, first in bands and then DJing all around the North West. I continued to learn about the industry when I moved to London in 2010 to study Music and Sonic Media at Southbank University. Since then, I have worked in many aspects of the music industry, from recording studios and small media houses to helping to open event spaces and record shops, even working with the archives of some of the biggest acts of the 20th century at Universal Media Group. I am also a recording and international touring artist, both solo and in group projects, and have to date released over 15 EPs and one album on international labels. I wouldn't be where I am today without guidance and advice from people with experience, and I try to pay it forward to those who want to learn more about production, music or being creative !
