A summary
Soul Voices is a choir for children aged 7-11 who love to sing. Singing is beneficial for everyone and in the children will: Increase in confidence Reduce anxiety Build new friendships Meet other children that love singing. Claude Lovett has been working with children's choirs for the over 8 years, the idea is to laugh and have fun together, all while learning to sing. We'll learn songs that the children know and love and enjoy some games too, so that the children really get to know each other. Choirs are teams, so we teach the children to work together to make a beautiful sound. The children learn using a listen and repeat method, so there is no need to have any knowledge of music and they don't need to be the best at reading. By singing the words, and following them on paper, children's reading improves. At the end of each term, parents and carers can come along to hear the choir perform- which is a source of real joy and pride for children and parents alike.

Claude Lovett
Sings, dances and acts (the clown) with kids!
I was a kid who sang before I talked, and I've not stopped since! This was followed by dance lessons from 4 years and 2 stints in the West End in Bugsy Malone and Annie, both incredible experiences that will stay with me forever, and which helped begin my love of acting. I went on in more recent years to go to Boot Camp on X Factor in 2007 and appeared on Stars In Their Eyes as Diana Ross in 2017. Then I was lucky enough to be asked to be the musical director of The Lion King at Laughton School and after many requests from the parents of the children that appeared in the show, Lilley Lovett Theatre Group was born. For me there is no greater joy than watching children's confidence grow as they get immersed in the performing arts. We're passionate about teaching children not to be afraid to make mistakes, to work as a team and respect each other. The results are awe inspiring, and now I finally have my dream job.
