A SUMMARY

Lecture Study 3: Evil and the Power of Thought; GA 207; Dornach 23 September 1921 This lecture study workshop is the last in this series of Steiner lecture studies. Participants are invited to deepen their anthroposophical understanding of the psychological basis of soul life and its potential pathology. The programme, building on previous seminars with Dr. Broder von Laue, will be co-ordinated by Drs. James Dyson and Pablo Jeczmien and facilitated by Mrs Julia Davinskaya. As with the previous workshops, this lecture study will be overseen by one of the participants, agreed in advance and this to enable the workshops to benefit from diversity of leadership while maintaining an agreed basic methodology. These studies, which are designed to deepen an understanding of complex textual material, have a broadly based context and any person with an interest on anthroposophy is welcome to join, irrespective of previous participation. Dr. Broder von Laue Hans-Broder von Laue was born in North Germany in 1937. He is a doctor specializing in anthroposophic medicine. He lectures on cancer treatment and teaches therapeutic eurythmy and has been widely published. -------------------------------------------------------- Dr. James A. Dyson James has worked as an anthroposophical physician for over 35 years, developing a special interest in the fields of mental health and child development. He was the co-founder, with Dr Michael Evans, of Park Attwood Clinic in 1979, an anthroposophical residential and out-patient facility, where he continued to practise until 2003. James has also worked as a school doctor for over 20 years in several Steiner-Waldorf Schools in the UK and as a medical advisor in the field of learning disabilities for the Camphill Village Trust and Garvald Centre (Edinburgh). To deepen an understanding of complex textual material on Pastoral Medicine.

Strengths to develop

We will explore the first course of lectures to doctors, where Steiner suggested that psychotherapy may be most valuable when used to treat physical illnesses and that mental illnesses generally required medical treatment.
