A summary
The Harlequins Foundation’s Healthy Holiday Programme offers young people, aged 6-14 and in receipt of benefit related free school meals access to a range of FREE activities delivered by our experienced team of staff. Our programme is delivered for four hours each day for a total of four days (Tuesday – Friday). Activities will include: Tag Rugby. Rugby Robots – Our world first coding experience. Kwik Cricket. Invasion Games Team Building Activities. …and much more. Our work, which is underpinned by The Skills Builder Framework, offers young people the opportunity to acquire and practice their Essential Skills (Teamwork & Leadership, Speaking & Listening, Staying Positive & Aiming High and Problem Solving & Creativity) through sport. Our inclusive programme offers activities for children of all abilities and is delivered by fully trained, qualified and DBS checked staff. All young people will be provided with lunch each day but we recommend all young people are provided with a refillable water bottle and any snacks they may require.

As a member of the Skills Builder Partnership, The Harlequins Foundation are hugely passionate about using sport to help young people to develop essential decision-making and collaboration skills such as; Creativity, Problem Solving, Speaking & Listening. By taking a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of a professional sports team, ‘Robot Rugby’ seeks to inspire and excite young people about the importance of STEM in elite sport, all whilst providing pupils with hands-on experience of coding and robotics.
