A SUMMARY

Join us for 2 hour art club sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm. Together we will discover how to tell stories through images, and how to design and then make models of things we imagine.

About your Mentor

Diana

I am a practicing visual artist since 1999, have led international art projects both in the UK and abroad. I have led art history workshops at Tate Liverpool, art directed films, produced animations, tutored art and design with Holland Park Tuition and Greater London Tutors 2007-2010, have had own art gallery in London 2012-2019. I have curated numerous art exhibitions since 2002, had solo and group shows in the UK and abroad. I am currently an artist in residency with Museum of Motherhood. Apart from being a mother of two and a full-time artist, I am a fellow of Royal Geographical Society and currently planning my next expedition to communities who live in taiga (Siberia) and support themselves by living in balance with nature.

To be able to sketch an idea in a way that it can be understood by others

Strengths to develop

Although there are tables and chairs in the room, we will mostly be working in the middle of the room together. I believe that to make art one needs to use as much bodily energy as one can. We will be moving around the thing we are working on. In this way children will have a better view and understanding of our project and will be able to exchange ideas and help each other.
