What we'll do
We will begin every week with a warm-up and stretch, before practising some basic skills such as kicks, leaps and turns. We will be working together to create a routine with the aim of performing at the Oxfordshire Dance Festival on 20th February, and the regional heats of the Great Big Dance Off in Swindon on 25th March. There will be more info sent out about both of these nearer to the time. I have a lot of dance and performing experience myself, and can't wait to get dancing together! It will be a mixture of styles depending on what people want to try - ballet, jazz, street dance and musical theatre can all be included! I haven't decided on the final song for our routine yet because I want your input! See you in the school hall on Thursdays after school. Please bring appropriate clothes if you want to change (or just stay in your uniform if it's stretchy!) and bare feet (the hall is too slippy for you to be in ballet shoes or socks!!) Miss Hughes
