What we'll do
The Renewal Programme are delighted to welcome young people in Newham to our Christmas event. Where young people will enjoy a range of fun activities and be provided with a free vegetarian hot lunch. There will be exciting arts and crafts classes on offer for all ages, ranging from creating greetings cards, making woolly Santa, coasters, creative arts and crafts with recycled materials, and many more activities. Young people will be able to have fun with cupcake & cookie decorating and smoothie making to create and share. Those wanting a more relaxing activity will have the opportunity to play board games and create mindful art. There will also be a range of mixed indoor sports to try out, such as Archery, Non- Contact Boxing and more! aimed at all levels of abilities. We look forward to hosting your children between 21st December - 29th December 2023 at this exciting programme. Please Note: Any packed lunch that children bring must be of a healthy variety and no items containing NUTS. Non-attendance without prior notice will result in the child losing its place for other days. Parents must advise if children are going home alone.
About your mentor
The Renewal Programme
Inspiring hope and offering opportunities
Newham Renewal Programme Ltd, also known as The Renewal Programme, is a registered charity based in Newham. Working with the community, the local council and businesses and other local charities, we transform and empower individuals for a stronger borough. Founded in 1971 by Reverends Clifford Hill, Ted Finch and Rowland Joiner, their shared aim was to inspire marginalised people and communities to sustain themselves independently in the future, an aim which has remained at the heart of the charity ever since. For 50+ years, we have continued to support those, in Newham, who are facing multiple challenges; whether they’re a carer who needs wellbeing support, a migrant or refugee without access to public funds, an individual suffering with homelessness or experiencing poverty, a young person without direct access to learning pathways or an elderly person unable to communicate in English. With our support, they can access the services they need in order to overcome those challenges.
SEND
HAF clubs are inclusive for children with low levels of SEN and/or disability, who can participate in universal settings. We also have specialist programmes for those children and young people who require specialist support. Each Club will assess their suitability to provide sufficient support, based on your child/young person's needs, ona case-by-case basis. Email us for any queries on HAF@newham.gov.uk
