A summary
Our programme gives young people the opportunity to learn key skills involved in sports leadership. Each day we look at different aspects of leadership, such as what does it take to be a good leader, what qualities do you need, how to we organise groups, teams and the space as well as many more. Being a leader is an exciting, rewarding and challenging role. We help young people to explore all aspects and develop their confidence in coaching younger children. It doesn't matter which sport or activity they prefer, the leadership skills they learn with us can be transferred to any sporting environment. Each young person will receive a certificate showing the aspects of leadership they are trained in. Please check all booking details are correct before submitting your booking request. A few T&Cs from Brighton & Hove City Council: • Eligibility criteria – Brighton & Hove HAF funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals. • Limits on bookings – Over the summer, Eequ will permit each eligible participant to be booked on to 16 HAF places across all providers in the city. If a session is not attended, HAF places cannot be added back on to an individual’s allocation, regardless of reason. It is therefore important that sessions are cancelled before the activity starts, and ideally giving a minimum of a few days’ notice where possible to allow other children to benefit. Bookings can be managed by the Booker by logging into Eequ and reviewing their Schedule.”
