About your mentors
Gemma
Team lead youth worker
I am the team lead at Newhaven youth centre. I have been a youth worker at SCDA since 2013. I love my job and I am very passionate about helping young people find their voice within their community. Providing a safe, fun and informative space for young people is really important to me. And i love meeting new people. Outside of work, I love to keep fit and going for long walks with my 2 dopey doggies.
Lily
youth worker
I've been a part of the SCDA youth team for just over a year and a half. I started at SCDA as a community development worker supporting the Newhaven Young People's Forum and began doing more and more youth work as I have loved hearing about the young peoples passions at youth club! Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors and gardening, or when the whether says otherwise I'll be indoors with a craft project.
Lindsey
Youth Worker
I have worked with young people in different capacities for about 18 years. I started Jitterbugs at SCDA when my children were babies. I have worked in schools and now I am back with SCDA at a youth worker and have been part of the youth team for 4 years. Outside of work I have 3 sons and enjoy sea swimming all year round and attending live music.
