What we'll do
Join us for fun (and food) at our Christmas Family Fun event. Suitable for all your family (including grandparents). Activities, woodland crafts (with tools) and games. Make Christmas decorations and cards. Light the fire, toast marshmallows. Plus all our exploration areas; mud kitchen, swings, rope bridges, den building, pond dipping and raft riding. Enjoy time together. £14 per family member which includes butcher’s or vegetarian sausage in a rolls, crisps, vegetable sticks, s’mores and drinks. Children aged 0-2 are free.

Rebecca Dodman manages the programmes on offer at The Willows. Her ambition is to promote the love of learning through personalised/outdoor experiences; leading by example and inspiring children to fulfil their aspirations. Rebecca has empathy and energy to drive improvement and implement initiatives; for individuals to succeed, feel valued and to make a difference. She is passionate in providing high quality education for all. ​ As a former leader in education, primary school teacher and qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader Rebecca has the experience and skills to plan a wide range of different activities, including child-led, open ended tasks; which as Dr Maria Montessori suggests will allow learners to use their own abilities to develop all aspects at their own pace.
What should we wear?

Learning aims
Aim 1
Immerse yourself in our safe, wonderful willow site; to develop your well-being and social ability.
Aim 2
You will be encouraged to take managed risks and try new experiences, whilst having fun and exploring the great outdoors.
Aim 3
Engage in activities (based on Forest School teaching techniques); which are proven to increase motivation, confidence and communication skills.
Consent and permissions
First aid consent By providing your details and making this booking you give permission for a member of staff (with outdoor first aid certification) to administer first aid to you or your child if required. Activity consent By making this booking you give consent for your family to participate in the activities listed below: • Shelter/den building • Balancing bridges and low ropes •. Raft riding •. Swinging on the tyre/rope swing • Bug hunting • Whittling using vegetable peelers/knives • Wild arts and crafts • Mud sculpting • Tree climbing (no higher than 3 meters) • Cooking on an open fire (with supervision) • Using tools, including mallets, saws and drills The Willows does not take responsibility for any injury that an individual causes to them self because they have not followed our rules, procedures and guidance. Photograph consent At The Willows photographs may be taken for marketing purposes; to be used by Rebecca Dodman; to advertise future events. Individuals will not be identified by name in the photos. By making this booking you give permission for photos of your family to be taken and used in this way. Data Protection and Confidentially All information provided is covered by the Data Protection Act and is strictly confidential. I fully understand and agree that all the information I have provided may be held by Rebecca Dodman from the booking date to one week after the event. Printed information will then be disposed of according to GDPR.
