A summary
A fun experience for actors and creatives to discover more about the historic Mary Rose and turn it into a piece of drama. Involving a tour round the museum with special workshops based around life on board, participants will also be shown new acting and devising tips and then given the chance to create their drama based on everything they have seen and learnt. Lead by experienced teaching staff at the museum and industry professionals at the theatre, this is a unique opportunity that will explore the children's imaginations, be creative, boost confidences, and give them a chance to see what life on board the Mary Rose would have been like! A hot meal will be provided for lunch with all tickets.
What we'll do
The two days will be broken down like this: DAY ONE: Tudor Surgeon and Gun Drill Workshop followed by a special tour round the Mary Rose Museum. Fun Drama Games Devising Theatre Workshop DAY TWO: Creating a special performance showing life on board the Mary Rose. Mini workshops in what it takes to put a show on - looking at costume, lighting etc. Showing parents what has been created
