A summary

This is a singing group for parents or carers and their children. Come and sing around the fire in a supportive, held community, while your children play around us in our beautiful forest school setting! I will teach you simple nature-based songs with harmonies and rounds, that you and your children can take home to sing together. I am an outdoor educator, facilitating groups in nature connection and children at Forest School. I am also a mother of 2 beautiful children, and singing has been a part of our bond since they were growing in my belly! Singing has been a lifeline for me throughout motherhood and beyond, and I have come to really believe in the healing power and connectivity of song. Children love to sing, and love to be sung to. Singing facilitates a deeper connection between you and your children. It is such a primal act, that can provide emotional soothing and comfort. I have worked as a nature educator for five years and was the co-founder and Head Facilitator of Wildlings - a thriving little community of Electively Home Educated children. I am a qualified Forest School Leader and completed a Ray Mears Bushcraft skills course in 2018. I trained with WildWise in 2017, initially completing Call of the Wild; a year-long Nature Connection Facilitation course, in the heart of Dartmoor National Park. Following this I completed a second and third year Tending the Green Fire to further develop my facilitation skills with groups in nature. I now work as a freelance Outdoor Instructor for WildWise and other organisations, as well as running my own programs and work regularly as a Forest School teacher in various settings. In early 2020 I travelled to Namibia to visit and learn with the San Bush People in the Kalahari Desert. Premises and facilities

We have running mains water down at the farm, but not in the woods. I carry all water up in containers before each session. We have hand washing facilities and a compost toilet. We have a fire circle, wendy house, climbing frame, mud kitchen, hammocks, slack line, swings, pond, orchard, dens. Dogs: We have a resident dog called Mango who joins us during our sessions. She is very friendly and loves to welcome the children as they arrive in the woods with a little excited bark and rolling over. She loves to play fetch but often won't give you back her stick! She likes to dig holes and sit and watch the children playing. She doesn't like big cuddles as her hips are getting a little sore from arthritis, so please respect her personal space and don't jump on her or surprise her. She is very gentle and likes gentle pats on the head and strokes.
