A summary

We are launching our first Space to Create Holiday Club at Rye College for 10-14 year olds, with access to great spaces and facilities. Our artist team for the week includes Janey Moffatt, Peter Quinnell and Becky Fifield, bringing skills in 2D, 3D and drama. You can expect them to come up with some great activities over the four days, with something for everyone to enjoy. Expect to make cool stuff to take home. Alongside the creative activities, there will be time for games, outdoor play and of course lunch each day. The coordinator for this Space to Create club is Riz Maslen For more information about previous holiday activities with Culture Shift and a gallery of photos:

Riz Maslen·Breaking the mould
My professional commitment and personal passion is to the use of electronic music and sound-art as means of social, educational and cultural growth. I have over 25 years experience gained across the Music Industry and Arts&Culture, as well as Education, Social Welfare and Health sectors. I have dynamic approach to digital music and sound art with wide experience of composing, playing gigs, technical experimentation, tutoring and performing. I enjoy processes of participatory music teaching with a variety of audiences, and I love technical workshop delivery as well as coordination.
Culture Shift·making creative spaces in the community
Culture Shift has been working in East Sussex since 2011 providing arts-based activities in schools and in the holidays. We make creative spaces where children and young can develop skills, try out new stuff, build confidence and connect with their peers. We work with a team of professional artists who share our passion for supporting children and young people’s creativity. They bring a great range of skills and experience in art, craft, music and drama. Each club has a dedicated coordinator to oversee logistics and liaise with parents and carers. Culture Shift’s holiday programmes build on existing relationships with schools and other partners, to make sure our work is well supported locally.
