What we'll do
Come along to our networking and skills sharing session on the beach at Rye Harbour. Your facilitators for the day will be Jill Ferguson (Sussex Wildlife Trust Rye Harbour), Renzo Spano (Sussex Wildlife Trust) and Jo Irvine (the Woven Owl). Themes and questions for the day Do you need a forest to do Forest School? Exploring the similarities and differences between Forest School, Wild Beach (Beach School) and other forms of outdoor learning. Nature based games that can be adapted for any environment. Opportunities to have a go at pewter smelting and a variety of mindful weaving and natural cordage related activities that you could pretty much do anywhere. Please bring your own lunch and drinking water, although the Lime Kiln cafe will be open should you want to buy lunch/coffee/cakes etc. Wear outdoor clothing appropriate to the weather conditions as we hope to be outdoors all day, although there is shelter available in the Discovery Centre if the weather comes in.
