A summary

Land Learners is a ground-breaking journey that teaches sustainable land stewardship, conservation, food growing, crafts, bird language, ecology, phenomenology, nature connection and self-care skills. It is aimed primarily at young people, but all adults are welcome. It's all about creating a resilient future for both people and nature; building skills, community and connection. Its focus is to act as a bridge between conventional and experiential learning, engaging people in a deep way with the world around them and teaching them both personal and practical skills. Each session will include a wellbeing activity and a learning activity. It could be for you if you care about the environment and your local wild spaces, or you want to learn more land-based skills. It could also be for you if you feel anxious about the future and want to learn new ways to look after yourself and improve your mental health. Topics covered include woodland management, tree planting, creating wildlife ha...

Sacred Earth·Nature educator & environmentalist
Hello, I'm Phil Greenwood. I am the founder of Sacred Earth. I'm a former Royal Marine Commando but have spent the last 20 years working with young people in outdoor education. I'm an experienced group facilitator, mentor and naturalist. I'm also part of the global 8 Shields nature mentoring movement and have led many adult groups on a range of nature-based quests. I strongly believe that people - especially young people - need nature based rites-of-passage programmes to help them find their place in the world. At Sacred Earth we aim to do just that. Our courses and programmes help people develop their social and emotional intelligence through a range of experiential learning programmes, which can be tailored to and delivered at a site of your choice. We encourage creativity, community, ingenuity and a deep connection with the natural world.

What we'll do

This course is all about supporting the next generation to steward the natural world and their local places in a healthy way. Here are some of the topics we'll cover: • Woodland management • River, pond and wetland management • Community food growing • Permaculture • Bee keeping • Wildlife habitat creation • Land based crafts and ancient skills • Health and safety on the land • Hedge laying • Tree planting • Species identification • Self-care and wellbeing tools and techniques

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.

I am not able to offer refunds in general but may be able to if there is good notice.
