Mentored by The Harlequins FoundationMentor summary: Using sport to ‘Build Brighter Futures’
For ages: 9 - 11 years
Book now to save your place and join us at Nelson Primary School for the world's first coding experience that uses sport to inspire and excite young people about the importance of STEM Education. Sport has the ability to excite and inspire young people, and it’s reach can extend far beyond simply running around with a ball. Our world-first coding experience offers young people the opportunity to learn coding through hands-on play and STEAM activities. ‘Robot Rugby’ coding sessions are carefully aligned to the current curriculum. Young people are introduced to coding using the Sphero Edu learning app where our facilitators help to guide their learning using 3 coding canvasses; Draw, Blocks and Text. Our programme is also underpinned by The Skills Builder Framework, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to acquire the Essential Skills.
