A summary

As part of the Kent Pilgrims Festival, the Badgers Den Forest School is teaming up with Out to the Woods Forest School and The Way you Walk to create a special event. Join us at dusk for an afternoon into evening event. You will be invited to join a guided walk around the beautiful Priory woods with Michael the story teller. He will captivate you with classic woodland tales from bygone years. There will be a treasure hunt, where the children will be given an activity sheet to find the Celtic symbols hidden around the woods. There will be an opportunity to make your own journey stick with Helen the forest school leader. We will return to camp and show you how to make camp fire bread, which you will roast on a stick and stuff with Nutella or jam. As the evening draws in, Sunita will be serving you nutritious chunky vegetable soup with rustic bread and you will listen to a story around the camp fire.

Helen at the Badgers Den forest school·And so...the adventure begins
I founded The Badger's Den in 2020 after completing my forest school training. The Badger’s Den is set in the beautiful and ancient Bilsington Priory Estate woodland. The woodland comes to life in the Spring with a carpet of wild anemones and Bluebells, in Summer you can take shade under the old Oak and Hornbeam trees and in Autumn forage and hunt for an abundance of blackberries and mushrooms. The Winter brings the beauty of the frost on the ground and the crisp cold air, but there will always be a warm fire and a hot drink to soothe you.
