A summary
Chemistry is definitely exciting, especially when trying to find out what goes with a bang! Come and try some fabulous chemistry experiments and see some spectacular demonstrations. In this workshop you will carry out many of the experiments yourself, making up solutions and seeing for yourself what reactions you can make happen when you add chemicals together. It's loads of fun and can be a bit messy so don't wear your best clothes! Come and join us and be prepared to be inspired
Special Offer
This workshop is intended for children only and we encourage adults to leave their children with us unless they have additional needs and require extra help and support. All our staff and volunteers are checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and our adult to child ratio ensures sufficient support throughout the workshop. If your child/children do need support throughout the workshop please do not book yourself on as a learner because this takes away a child's place, please contact The Centre and we will make a note that you will be staying. We can only offer a free meal to the children. Special offer admission to The Observatory Science Centre for parents/guardians and siblings of children attending the workshop: For adults (and other children in the same group to a reasonable limit) who wish to stay in The Centre while their child/children are participating in the workshop: we are are offering a special discounted admission of just £7 per person. Cancellation
My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
• Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.
• We may have a waiting list for the workshop therefore if you are unable to attend please let us know at least 48 hours in advance so that we can offer the place to another child. If you do not let us know that you are not coming and have booked more than one workshop, we have the right to cancel any subsequent bookings. We will inform you of this decision.
