A summary
A 3-day outdoor programme of nature-based activities from forest crafts to campside cooking – firing up imaginations and boosting confidence. We're set in the heart of the Ashdown Forest, where our broadleaf woodland nestles next to a meadow of soft wild grasses. Here children can enjoy the freedom of the woodland to play, learn and explore, forest school-style, soaking up the magic and benefits that nature has to offer. Days run 10am to 4pm. We provide refreshments and a home-cooked meal prepared together in the outdoors. Tuesday 22 – Thursday 24 August This is a 3-day camp so please select all 3-days when booking. **If your child has behavioural needs requiring 1:1 support, please get in contact before booking. It may be that they should come along with an adult in this case, as we’re not able to accommodate this level of support within our normal staffing ratios. ***This activity has been funded through the Department for Education’s (DfE) Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme and coordinated by East Sussex County Council. Fully funded places are available for young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals. This eligibility criteria has been defined by the DfE. Additionally young people in several other target cohorts can attend funded places, such as those with SEND or Looked After Children (LAC). Please note, eligibility will be confirmed as part of the booking process.***

Make new friends, learn a new skill, have loads of fun.
Important Info
What to wear Please send them dressed for the weather. There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing! The secret is old clothes and layers – plus waterproofs; and on the flip side, sunhats, suncream (please apply sun cream before you drop them with us.) Long sleeves, trousers and enclosed footwear are a must all times though – these offer protection from abrasions and grazes, sunburn and ticks. We ask parents to understand that children may get wet and muddy! What to bring Please send them with a snack from home and a water bottle. We will also provide top up snacks and water will be available throughout the day. Drop off / pick up Drop of is at 10am sharp in St John’s Church car park, St John’s Road, Crowborough, TN6 1RZ. The team and I will be there to meet you and register the children. We’ll assemble them as a group, then do the short walk ( 3 mins) to the Forest School site, through our woods - we have a gate leading directly from the Church car park. Please be punctual and help us out with a “drop and go” system. For collection at 4pm, we will walk the children back up to the car park, and meet you in the same place as you dropped them, in the Church car park. Please be sure to let us know at drop off if the person collecting is not yourself. Our site address is: Wild & Green Sussex, Churchside, Marden's Hill, Crowborough, TN6 1XW If you need to contact us: Louise mob 07788 713 587 louise@wildandgreensussex.org
