What we'll do

Our engaging and enriching GET ANIMATED! workshops are aimed at 8-14 year olds and run for 8 hours between 9am and 5pm. PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE 2 DATES AVAILABLE - 23rd and 24th AUGUST. THE SAME CONTENT WILL BE RUN ON EACH DAY. Retro Computer Coding - Design and animate video game graphics using BBC BASIC, the language of the original educational computer, the BBC Micro. Then take the knowledge learned to customise and create video games for the class to enjoy. All attendees will receive a printed certificate to commemorate their achievement. Classic Video Games – Take a break from coding to experience the sounds and thrills of a 1980s video games arcade with titles such as Pac Man, Space Invaders & Frogger. Physical Activity – Continuing the video game theme, our physical activity session lets you dance along to songs like the Super Mario theme and the Pac-man dance, or follow choreographed lightsaber sequences in time to music. Get Healthy! - Developed by Educraft especially for the HAF programme, our informative and interactive presentation and quiz covers the health and environmental benefits of a plant-based diet. Recipe cards and handouts provided. Subject to space and COVID guidelines, parents and carers are encouraged to attend this element of the workshop.
