Using sport to ‘Build Brighter Futures’
This session is provided exclusively for students of London Oratory School. As the charitable arm of Harlequin FC. The Harlequins Foundation uses the power of sport to: - Promote Wellbeing. - Tackle Inequality. - Support Young People to Develop the Essential Skills (https://www.skillsbuilder.org/). On the 22nd of January, students can join us from 09.00 - 12.00 for a Rugby 7's coaching clinic with a specific focus on: - Developing the Essential Skills. - Developing greater understanding and knowledge of the game. - Working effectively on and off the ball. We will primarily be teaching through the use of engaging small sided games which will be complemented by specific exercises.

Rob Voller: Rob is a former England University 7s player. Rob has worked with The Harlequins Foundation for almost a year, and has already had a great impact on the inclusion programmes we deliver. Rob is the lead coach of our Wheelchair Rugby team, The Jesters, as well as Harlequins’ Visually-Impaired Rugby team. Sheree Cooper: Sheree is a current Harlequins women's player (Alianz Premier 15s), and has recently joined The Harlequins Foundation. Sheree is really excited to support young pupils to develop both as players and as people.
Each attendee will need to bring: - Appropriate training clothes - Appropriate footwear (sessions are taking place on grass) - Refillable water bottle - Snacks - Any essential medication (inhalers etc.) * Please ensure you complete the child profile on Eequ giving a clear and transparent overview of any medical information, allergies or learning needs so we can safely facilitate the inclusion of everyone in the sessions.
