What we'll do
MKPA wears a few hats but everything we do supports our main objective which is to provide high-quality play opportunities to children and families across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. Our scrapstore is a reuse charity, dedicated to helping organisations divert reusable waste away from landfill and into the hands of children, young people and adults. We have a warehouse full of interesting, colourful and exciting items which can, with creativity, imagination and determination, be transformed into art projects. Use a wide range of scrap materials provided by Milton Keynes Play Association's Scrapstore to create your own unique craft ideas!

I became Play Events Manager at Milton Keynes Play Association in 2022 after 30 years of working in the childcare industry, twenty of which I owned and managed my own children’s nursery. I am NNEB qualified and have done ongoing CPD training all of my life. I am also designated safeguarding lead and Paediatric First Aid trained. I Love watching children grow in their self confidence as they try and then master new things. In my opinion the best way for children to learn is through play…… make things fun and you will learn at the same time, no matter your age!
