Fine artist and printmaker
Join artist Catherine Greenwood for a relaxed art walk and with at Seaford Head in Sussex, you will be provided with a sketchbook, basic materials and tuition including how to use materials and an introduction to drawing 'en plein air.' Experienced artists and new comers welcome. Please note the location may be rearranged subject to very windy or rainy weather. Please supply a mobile number for an update on the day by 9am.

Artist Catherine Greenwood loves sharing her passion for nature and art and set up Art Walks to give people confidence to connect with nature through art. Catherine is a pioneering Printmaker specialising in creating etchings from her sketchbooks; she regularly exhibits and sells her work. She is qualified BA and MA in Art and a trained teacher with many years teaching children and Adults in the studio and outdoors in the natural environment. What we'll do
Catherine will meet you with hot drinks and cake at South Hill Barn which is located at the Seaford Head Nature Reserve Carpark. Catherine will share her sketchbooks and enthusiasm for drawing and painting and invite you to join her for the session, supplying sketchbooks, graphite drawing sticks and having available pen and ink and watercolours for use. All abilities are welcome, Catherine will give you confidence to rekindle your passion for art or discover a new talent. Be prepared to try something new, you will be creating a visual diary and connecting with nature in the local surroundings. Wear suitable clothing for the all weather conditions and strong footwear for walking on unpaved footpaths. LOCATION CHANGE POSSIBILITY: In extreme adverse weather conditions you will be notified and the walk will relocate, otherwise please dress for all weather. Please take car when walking in this natural beauty spot, the cliffs are eroding and it is unsafe to venture near the edge heading signs and warnings about the cliff edge. No responsibility can be taken for your safety during this session, please be aware that you are participating at your own risk. Information from Sussex Wild Life Trust: "Seaford Head is the best spot to enjoy the iconic view of the majestic Seven Sisters cliffs. Please be aware if you are walking east from Seaford sea front or west from Hope Gap you should take care as a significant crack has appeared and there has been a major cliff fall. Stay well away from the cliff edge and follow any diversions. Seaford Head is managed by the Sussex Wildlife Trust in partnership with Seaford Town Council, the site owners."
