A summary
If you feel like treating yourself to a fully-inclusive Pilates and Mindfulness Retreat in a luxurious villa, with stunning views, up in the hills and enveloped in the sound of nature, with an endless supply of exquisite Greek food and the option of other therapies, with like-minded lovely people, then this is the holiday for you! I have been running exclusive, small group retreats for seven years now and my record for making happy, relaxed guests with life-changing results is 100%. Reviews What a beautiful week we've just had. Thank you Lindy for putting such thought into creating the perfect balance of exercise, rest, fun, inspiration... I've come home feeling less frazzled, more energised. I can definitely recommend this retreat. Alison My retreat with Lindy was a wonderful experience! We were looked after so well, in a gorgeous villa and became friends so quickly due to the caring and compassionate atmosphere that Lindy provided, with her thoughtful Pilates and meditation sessions. I would highly recommend her retreats to anyone. N. Willis Had the most wonderful time in Greece with Lindy. She’s a wonderful teacher who brings the group together when she’s teaching regardless of ability. The mindfulness was new to me and I loved it. I came away feeling that I had learnt a lot and grown as a person. The Village where we stayed is beautiful and has breathtaking views of the bay and the islands and doing pilates and mindfulness around the pool felt like a huge treat. Lindy couldn’t have done enough for us. I will definitely be going back for more. Anna S. Lots more testimonials can be found on my website: www.pilatesandmindfulness.com/testimonials

I make the most of everything life offers
About My Pilates Journey I have been teaching Pilates since 2008 and have classes throughout the week in different locations and times in mid-Sussex UK that are taught by fully-qualified Pilates teachers. I found my way to Pilates through taking classes myself and feeling the benefits in my own body but also learning from a friend who had chronic back problems that when she started going to regular classes her spinal issues cleared up. I thought this was an excellent way of helping people to build their fitness levels and help fix their own bodies. I trained with Body Control Pilates based in London and the course took a year to complete and after 50 hours of supervised teaching, I passed all the exams. I now live in Greece but still run my classes in the UK . Below are the training courses I have completed. Body Control Pilates Level 3 Matwork Teacher Training 2008 Intermediate Matwork Pilates and the Band Standing Pilates Pilates and the Small Ball Matwork Evolution Prep Matwork Evolution 1 Arc Barrel Workshop Pilates plus Psyche Pilates and Pregnancy 1 Pilates World Conference x 3 Yoga and Pilates Matwork Workshop About My Mindfulness Journey In 2011 I found myself reading about Mindfulness and becoming interested in it and finally decided to take the 8 Week MBSR or Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course and learn what it was all about. It was an amazing journey for me into an understanding of myself and how to calm the inner mental spiral of thoughts that would take me through my day. By using daily Mindfulness I noticed how stress, when it came into my life, could be handled differently and that I had tools to help me through various situations that affected me in a negative way. In 2014 I took the plunge and signed up for the Teacher Training 1 of the MBSR at the Centre For Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University in Wales. I attended a week-long retreat at Trigonos in the Welsh mountains, where I was immersed in daily meditations, workshops and training in the subtle art of guiding meditations myself and all the facets to leading an 8 Week MBSR Course. I keep up my own daily meditation work and study and this allows me greater freedom of thought and ability to deal with the problems that daily life impinges on us all.

The Villa and Menu
About the Villa The villa is based in the hills above the fishing village of Lygia and is in close walking distance to the traditional village of Katouna, on the island of Lefkada. Facing East, the sun rises over the mountains of mainland Greece every morning with spectacular reds and oranges splashed across the sky. The interior is of a luxurious standard with seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, lounge area, dining area and kitchen. Bedrooms are on a first come first serve basis but are all absolutely beautiful with windows facing the sea, balcony area and very comfortable beds! All bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms except for one with a bathroom outside the room. The villa is built on three-storeys with breathtaking views down to the village below, the Ionian sea and the mainland opposite. Outside is a private infinity pool, plenty of shade and sun loungers to relax on and take in the panorama. There is a BBQ area and covered pergola for Pilates, Mindfulness Meditation and Massage. Menu - Delicious Greek Food The Greek-style Mediterranean food will all be freshly cooked with the emphasis on salads, fish and local foods, using seasonal fruits and vegetables as much as possible. Breakfast Is taken in the comfort of your own accommodation and will be fruits, yoghurt, fresh bread, eggs, juice etc. Lunch Lunch will be shared together at the villa or taken with us on our excursions, usually salads, fruits, delicious Greek cheese pies etc. Dinner Dinner is shared together at the villa and there will be a different menu every night, including fresh fish, Greek lentils and green beans, a bbq and there will always be a fresh tasty salad! Coffee, tea and snacks There will always be an endless supply of Lavazza coffee, English and herbal teas, lemon-ginger-mint water, fruit and nuts available. There is the option of wine and beer with meals as extra. Dietary Needs We are offering a healthy week with delicious foods, Greek salads and traditional meals. If you are vegetarian, vegan or have a specific dietary requirement please contact me and I will do my best to accommodate you. A vegetarian menu fits in very well with the weeks' dishes, adding halloumi, feta, eggs and sweet potatoes to replace the meat and fish is very easy to do. We make a delicious Greek lentils soup one evening with feta and salad and tasty Greek green beans with Halloumi on another night for example. Enjoying food together We have found that the food is of great importance to a persons enjoyment on a retreat. Taste is one of the senses after all and we work very hard to make sure it is as tasty, nutritious and always fresh. There is nothing like the taste of a sun-ripened tomato to know you are in a Mediterranean country. Adding traditional Greek dishes really adds to the whole ambience of a week on the beautiful island of Lefkada. On a diet! If you would like to lose weight or change a bad eating habit this may be the time to do it. By eating high protein and tasty food, without sugars, preservatives or additives, cooked from scratch by our team for you to enjoy, is an excellent way to jump-start a new relationship to food. Include mindful eating - really noticing the food you eat, how it tastes, looks, smells - to change bad habits can give you satisfaction and a feeling of comfort from your food without looking for more.
