A summary
We’ve got an exciting opportunity for you to share your thoughts about the support that adopted and kinship young people receive—and to help shape future ideas and plans! The Department for Education (DfE) wants to hear directly from young people about what works well, what doesn’t, and what you feel would make support better in the future. Your voice has the power to influence real change. This isn’t a formal meeting—there’s no pressure, no right or wrong answers. It’s simply a relaxed and supportive space where you can talk about your experiences, share your ideas, and help adults understand what young people truly need. Whether you have lots to say or just want to listen and share a few thoughts, your input is valuable. Come along, have your say, and help shape the future of support for adopted and kinship young people!

Transforming Lives Through Adoption
At Adoption East Midlands, we are committed to transforming lives through adoption. By prioritising the voices of those with lived experience, we build trust, strengthen family bonds, and ensure every child finds a safe, stable, and loving home. Our mission is to empower adoptive families at every stage of their journey—before, during, and beyond adoption.
