What we'll do
World of Warhammer We are excited to be hosting 2 days of Warhammer fun this February in Lewes. The workshops are a good mix of creativity and gameplay —  aimed at both newcomers, and long-time fans keen to swap ideas, make more terrain, paint models and play together. They will allow children with prior experience of the game to further develop their painting skills and improve their prowess at the game. They will be run by artist, animator and experienced Warhammer gamer Ezra Moran Adams. We will have up to 16 participants and 3 members of staff. Our team has much experience working with autistic people and young people with Special Educational Needs. Concession rates are available please contact Lara.   Day 1 Workshop: Terrain Building, Model Painting & Faction Design We will start the weekend with a hands-on creative workshop led by Ezra and team . During the first part of the day, participants will design, build and paint tabletop terrain using a vairty of materials. They will also learn specialist model painting techniques; base coating, shading, dry brushing and detailing as we will demonstrate methods that bring miniatures and landscapes to life. Participants are encouraged to bring their own models to paint, or they can work on provided pieces as they develop confidence and skill. This session is suitable for all ability levels, from beginners to experienced hobbyists looking to refine their techniques. For the second part of the day, participants begin preparing for the Day 2 multi games. They will design their factions, develop backstories and visual themes, and get armies or teams ready for friendly, non-competitive games. Staff can help players to think strategically about aesthetics and gameplay, helping them arrive at the games fully prepared with their faction. Towards the end of the day, participants will have the chance to try out some short gameplay sessions using their newly created miniatures and terrain. This offers a fun, practical introduction to Warhammer rules and tabletop play for beginners in the group. Participants may submit their painted models and terrain for a friendly end-of-day showcase. Prizes will be awarded for outstanding creativity, craftsmanship, and effort. Day 2 – Game play Time! Today involves a fast-paced Warhammer games designed for new and experienced players. Participants refine their army setups, learn advanced tactics, and compete in a friendly, non-competitive matches. This immersive session is ideal for those wishing to test their skills alongside others of similar experience (we will group tournament games according to experience). Bring your own army or use one of ours or both! There will be an open table set up at the workshop, for children who want to make and paint models and terrain. Children can also bring models from home if they want to complete their painting with us! At the end of the day, each participant can take home the terrain they have made. Take-Home Items for both days At the end of the session, participants can take home: The terrain piece(s) they have created The Warhammer miniatures from home that they have built and painted with us. All paints, spray paints and other resources provided by us!
