A summary

We are a sports based provider who delivery a wide variety of sports and activities all based on our programme we deliver in schools working within the national curriculum. These include mainstream sports such as Football, Cricket, Netball, Rounders, Athletics and Golf as well as other activities including Gymnastics, Dance, Parachute Games etc. Each day their are 4 dedicated sessions, these are coach led sports. We also have 1 hour per day of child led activities where they have access to space and equipment to set up their own games and be physically active. We also include some new non-sports sessions into our schedule including Lego Engineering, Maths based fun, Drama, Disco, Library Time and Board Games.

Sports Plus Scheme is a Family Business that was founded in 2001. Two decades later, Sports Plus is a leader in our sector for High Quality Sports Coaching & Physical Education Support to Schools. Working with Hundreds of Primary Schools across the UK with a huge network of partners and sports coaches. Whether it be our PE Lessons, Extracurricular clubs or Holiday Courses every single session is delivered with the aim of developing skills, building confidence and having FUN! All our staff have full training and work full time in local primary schools. They hold a minimum of Level 2 qualifications as well as Safeguarding, First Aid and an Enhanced DBS.

What to Expect

- Doors will open at the School Sports Hall at 8.30am and children will take their bags etc. to the hooks based nearby. - They will then take part in warm up games for 30mins which will be active and engaging and get the children ready for the day. - The morning will then include 2 dedicated sports sessions led by our professional coaches who work within primary schools during term time. - While we set up for lunch children will take part in a short presentation about healthy food and lifestyles followed by some fun quiz questions and challenges. - Lunchtime will be 1 hour with 30minutes for food and 30 minutes free time where children can set up there own activities and game under supervision from coaches. - Following lunch we will begin another 2 coach led sessions including sports and some of our enrichment activities such as STEM activities, Maths fun, board games, library time or a seasonal movie. - The final 20 minutes of the day will be some cool down games to settle the children for home time and finally the awards such as player of day, best attitude and skills points winners will be handed out before parents arrive to collect.
